Since we already learn car-related vocabulary, let's take a look at a list of words and phrases you might use at a garage or at a gas station.
Garage = Taller de reparaciones
- Auto parts = recambios, repuestos, autopartes
- To replace = Cambiar, reemplazar
- To repair = Reparar, arreglar
Gas station, service station, filling station = gasolinera, estación de servicio
- Fuel is highly inflammable (or flammable) = El combustible es altamente inflamable
- Fill up the tank = Llene el tanque (o el depósito)
- Can I have $ on pump # = Quiero $ en la bomba #
- Put in X liters[4], gallons (US) of petrol,gasoline/diesel = Póngale (o échele) X litros, galones de gasolina/diesel
- The tank is nearly (or almost) empty = El tanque (o el depósito) está casi vacío
- Check the oil level = Revise (también chequée o compruebe) el nivel de aceite
- Put two liters[4] of oil = Póngale (o échele) dos litros de aceite
- Fill the radiator = Póngale (o échele) agua al radiador
- Check the tires[2] pressure, See if the tires2 have got enough air in them = Revise la presión (de aire) de los neumáticos, Revise el aire de las llantas
- Look over the brakes = Revise los frenos
- Please give it a general lubrication = Haga un engrase general
