I was wondering if anyone could help me in finding the correct Spanish word for (or a rough equivalent of) the interjection "hey...!"
More specifically, I'm writing a story in which a small Mexican-American girl (5 years old) gets her cookie swiped from her. Angry, she yelps some sort of protestation. What would be a common or acceptable interjection in this sort of situation?
Thanks for your help.

Hi there,
I would say, "¡Ala!"
It's a very common exclamation.
The RAE says it's OK to write it in three different ways: Ala, Hala, and Alá.
It's used to protest, to ask for attention, to show surprise...
